Not Everyone Who Wanders is Lost LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of September Already!!?? how is this possible the year is going by to fast! It's been very nice the last few days here weather wise, time to get back to walking again now that it's not as humid out. We got a fun challenge layout over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori:

I love this sketch! I love to use multiphotos on a layout too since I love to take so many photos. So I did a grid of photos for that center spot so my white space around the photos isn't nearly as white as the sketch but you can see the sketch influence in the layout.
A walk on a beautiful Spring day in 2024, love to see the trees blooming and the bushes too around the apartment complex where I live. I have come to love wandering around the neighborhood in my area so I'm never lost just lost in the beauty of God's creation. I used my current counterfeit kit Smile for my layout and trying to finish up that Simple Stories Spring collection from last month.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Summer Holiday LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to the blog. It's the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Master Forger Brandi is in charge this month and this is her challenge:

We'll be using this image from our inspiration kit, Daily Journal by Cocoa Daisy as our launching point for today's challenge!

I don't know about the rest of you, but this summer really did FLY by! And for our area, we're finishing up the second week of school already! I'm sure we all still have plenty of summer left to scrapbook, so grab your kit and some summertime fun photos and let's get creating! (You don't HAVE to use Summer 2024 photos.)
I agree with Brandi Summer did fly by! The humidity this Summer was really bad and I spent a bunch of time indoors this Summer but I did enjoy a few days out and about and this layout is of one of those days.
When I'm off a day during the week that is just like a holiday for me even though it was after the official holiday. Enjoy a day out with my Sister and we took in Penn's Cave in Pennsylvania. A postcard and a couple of pictures on this layout of the Statue of Liberty in the cave on of the formations :) and we didn't have to leave Pennsylvania to see the Statue of Liberty.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - September 2024 Kit Reveal - Smile

Welcome to my blog and the 1st of September! Wow we're in September already, where did the Summer go! 1st of the month means it's time for a new inspiration for us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Christine's Youtube channel I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Amy Jo Johnston join us as Guest Forger I look forward to seeing what she creates.

Master Forger Brandie Jo is the host of September and here is the Inspiration Kit she has chosen for us to counterfeit:

Our inspiration kit for the month will be the Daily Journal Scrapbook kit by Cocoa Daisy from September of 2023! I chose this kit for the color scheme as well as the theme of documenting memories - I love how versatile this is and can be easily adapted to fit any scrapbooker's needs!

There are a lot of different add-ons offered by Cocoa Daisy so be sure to check out their website for further inspiration for this month!

Oh wow this is such awesome inspiration with all those cameras! Love the color combo as it's a bit different than what I'm use to in a kit and perfect for the last Summer photos to take yet and scrap. The 1st thing I pulled from my stash for this was a collection called Click It from Scrapbook Generations. The color and theme matched the inspiration.

Smile

I had a blast looking through my stash for things that resembled what was in the inspiration by color, icon and resemblance. Lots of older stuff and new stuff to make a wonderful combination for my kit.

The papers in my kit the 3rd row has the Click It collection and the beginning of my inspiration for my kit. Then went to my Vicki Boutin stash and chose a bunch of Print Shop stuff along with a few papers from Fernwood and 2 smaller paper pads finishing one off to put into the kit. I found some fun scraps to add to the kit along with a premade base for a quick layout.
Close up: Washi tape, ribbon, acrylic pieces, chipboard, diecuts and puffy stickers
Close up: Found these poloraids from CTMH in my stash and added it the kit along with some old felt film strips plus the film strips I made at a crop awhile back. Die cut pack from Tim Holtz I got for Christmas from my Secret Sister a couple of years ago.
Close up: Even some Pinkfresh Studio products made it into the kit, the vellum word phrases should be fun to play with along with the stickers, tags and enamel dots
Last the close up of the Alphas for my kit I grabbed a lot that are about used up and hoping to create words from them for title to get them use up.

Thanks for stopping by today to my little corner of the world. off you go to Julene's blog to see the kit she has pulled, if you get lost along the way the blog list is below. We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your kit this month at the CKC

Documented LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to the blog. It's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Master Forger Jody is in charge this month and this is her challenge:

"This month's Inspiration kit was full of contrast. I want you to create your own black and yellow background paper to use on a project.   I hope I see some mixed media!!!"

This is such a fun challenge and had me reaching for my stencil. I made sure to add a yellow paper to my kit for this challenge and I used Black Soot distress ink for my stenciling for the challenge

From this stenciled background I created this layout:
The 3rd covered bridge I saw that Saturday of checking out some of the bridges in my area. This one is still in use and the oldest Columbia County. With all the pictures I have shame that I covered up most on that stenciling but still have a good bit showing.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Keefers Mill Bridge LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of August and it's been very nice the last few days here weather wise. We got a fun challenge layout over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori:

Love this sketch! My photos are in a different orientation but it still work out well.
I've started working on the Covered Bridges trail I did last year and this is one of the bridges I saw a very unusual covered bridge for PA. Because of my photo orientation I moved the title down onto the one picture and had plenty of room for my journaling. Using my current counterfeit kit Any Day for all my bits and pieces of this layout.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

CKC - August 2024 Kit Reveal - Any Day

Welcome to my blog and the 1st of August! 1st of the month means it's time for a new inspiration for us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's Blog I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Sarah Rouault join us as Guest Forger I look forward to seeing what she creates.

Master Forger Jody is the host of August and here is the Inspiration Kit she has chosen for us to counterfeit. It is bright, bold and full of color! I picked the Bee-utiful Day Kit by Jennifer Ferh from sweetshoppedesigns.com . I fell in love with the black and yellow combo including the bees! At first glance you may only see those 2 colors but look closer and notice the pretty bright colors as well! So many possibilities and such playful words. Here is what we get to work with!

This inspiration kit had me heading straight to 49 and Market Countryside collection and that is where I started my kit at. Going through my Yellow, Black, Plaids and Gemetric drawers for other papers to fill up my kit this is what came together. I did find one of the chipboard word phrases with the it's name on it and it has a special meaning for me and the person I work with so will have to make sure I use it just for that layout!

Any Day

Lots of 49 and Market in the kit as you see and lots of scraps too. I brought in a Simple Stories leftovers if to finish it up, this had the bees and the butterflies that were in the inspiration kit
The papers, there is some realistic papers in there I want to use too.
Close up what is left of the Spring Simple Stories collection I have that I intend to finish up
The diecuts in various forms as I plan to do a few layouts about the Cover Bridges I saw last year brought in the red to for that.
The chipboard words to use for titles on my layout see that Any Day :) in the mix
Tickets, frames and some nuvo too
The laser die cuts gotta love me some 49&Market laser die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by today to my little corner of the world. off you go to Julene's blog to see the kit she has pulled, if you get lost along the way the blog list is below. We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your kit this month at the CKC
