CKC - January 2025 Kit Reveal - Let's Celebrate

Let us use each new year to make the most of every day.  Welcome to my blog and to a new year! 2025 starts us off with a New Year of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kits to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Christine's youtube channel I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. Christine is also our hostess this month. But first I would like to welcome our guest Master Forger this month, Ms Jennifer Cain. I've seen lots of Jennifer's layout and love that she does 8.5" x 11" layouts so it's so cool how she takes a sketch and makes it her own with her style. She is Jennifer ScrappinCain on both Instagram and YouTube. I look forward to seeing her kit.

Master Forger Christine on deck to guide us through my first month of counterfeiting fun! Our inspiration kit for the month will be Hip Kit's September 2024 "Good Things Ahead". I chose this kit because I love the unique color palette and hey, it's a new year so there must be good things ahead! This kit isn't your typical "winter" theme, which means you have so much opportunity to work with it!  I know in Texas, we don't see much winter, so this is a good fit for those of us without snow!  For inspiration, I've got the main kit and the embellishment kit images shown here.

I thought this was an awesome choice to start out the New Year and the name of their kit is perfect for a New Year's kit even though this represents September at the time. Whenever we have a Hip Kit it always reminds me of Pinkfresh Studio so I went to my 2 iris containers of Pinkfresh Studio stuff and pulled my kit amongst a variety of collections and with the addition of the Embellishment kit (2nd photo) my kit ended up embellishment heavy. Here is my kit for January:

Let's Celebrate

Isn't a New Year a Celebration?? So a fantastic name for this kit and it came from one of the cutaparts in the papers that I included. As you can see very embellishment heavy. There's alot of embellishment packs that only have a few left I would really like to get used up and some Fall embellishments that have no more paper that need used up too.
My papers
I included both full sheets and scraps to use up. I'll be playing along with
Baby Got Scraps with MK (Some Assemblage Required) and Janet (Galaxy Girl) their January Series using the full sheets here for my backgrounds while most of my scraps will be coming from my 100 Pattern Paper Pile from last year where I accumulated a bunch last month.
From the Best Day collection lots of embellishment packs with just a few left in them, I want to focus on these this month and get them used up and out of my stash.
From Days of Splendor lots of partially used packs that I would love to clean up this month, these are a Fall them and I still have some Fall layouts to finish up so hoping to get them used there. There is also the puffy stickers from Super Cool for the nod to the amusement items in the kit, perfect for the DelGrosso's Park pictures while we we're there. So that's a definite layout this month
From Some Days collection alot of everyday embellishments that will be perfect for some of the 2023 photos I want to get scrapped one of my goals for this year is to get 2023 scrapped and the blues went well from the inspiration.
From the Good Times collection another Fall collection to get used up will be perfect for my Jim Thrope day trip with some added train stuff to scrap the train photos from that day. That's it for the close ups of the kit.  Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. Off you go to Julene's blog if you get lost along the way the blog list is below. Look out for 2 new challenges too this year per month, your always welcome to post over at the CKC communly facebook group
